Painless Ultramisting

The Sanuwave UltraMist uses ultrasonic waves to generate a fine saline mist, which removes dead tissue from the wound bed. This non-contact debridement allows the wound to be cleaned without touching the area, reducing the risk of pain and trauma to surrounding healthy tissue. The mist accelerates tissue repair, promotes blood flow, and reduces inflammation.

We will position the patient comfortably with the wound exposed. The intensity of the setting on the Ultramist will be selected for the wound type and our treatment goals. The hand piece will be held about 1cm away from the wound bed, not making any contact. A gentle mist will spray onto the wound painlessly. Treatment time usually ranges from about 5 minutes to 15 minutes depending on the wound size.
